SIRKKA S. FIRLEY, CPA
Sirkka was born and raised in Helsinki, Finland. After graduating from business school, she was hired as the administrative assistant to the press attaché in the United States Embassy in Helsinki. It was here that she met her husband Carl Firley, who was in Helsinki completing an assignment through a Fulbright teaching grant. Together they returned to Champaign, Illinois where in 1966 they got married. With their new daughter, Sinikka, they moved to Marquette, Michigan in 1969, where son Carl Henry was born. After Sirkka graduated with honors from Northern Michigan University the family relocated to Stuart, Florida in 1981 where Sirkka started her career in public accounting.
She obtained extensive experience and training in accounting and taxation working in the construction industry with building contractors. Sirkka's current emphasis is tax planning and preparation for individuals, corporations, trust and estates. She is a licensed CPA in the state of Florida, and is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She enjoys traveling with her family and playing golf.
